I like to think that farming is part of every great garden! At Hidcote there was a large herd of sheep and so sheep farming was the setting and the backdrop of the garden. I was there during lambing season so often while gardening you could look over the fence and see the young lambs frolicking. When I returned home, three lambs were born on our farm in the first week. We have a small herd of sheep, a cow, six pigs, laying hens, and in short time, we will have close to 100 meat birds.
